Our process development centre undertakes innovative route design and handles process development and process safety risk assessment.  Within our process facility we have segregated areas for hydrogenation and low temperature reactions.

Trachem has a strong emphasis on developing safe and eco-friendly processes and operations. Each new project undergoes a thorough safety evaluation and the data that results is carefully implemented when the project is conducted at scale.

We have a systematic and scientific approach to identify, evaluate and control hazards involved in each process, including the properties of raw materials, reaction mixtures, intermediates and final products.

Process Development QC

We can also provide analytical chemistry development to guarantee control of quality, purity, and identification and quantitative determination of impurities.

Risk Assessment

A full risk analysis is carried out for each step in our proposed reaction scheme prior to transfer of the process to large scale manufacturing.

Including thermal stability testing using our in-house RC1. We conduct rigorous data-driven process and operational safety evaluations, which are fully integrated into all our manufacturing site providing peace of mind to our clients throughout the collaboration.

RC1 – Thermal Safety Assessment Unit

The safety team routinely conduct experiments and generate data related to thermal stability, quantity and rate of heat liberation, gaseous evolution and pressure generation rate, flammability and dust explosion risk. The data generated is carefully assessed and provides a report recommending the basis of safety (BOS) operating ranges, for all the development, scale-up and manufacturing stages.
