Trachem Ltd is a leading contract and toll manufacturing organisation, specializing in the supply of fine chemicals and in particular speciality chemicals for the oil industry.
We are targeted on developing robust commercial process, allowing the large-scale manufacture of our intermediates in a safe, efficient and environmentally responsible manner.
Our engineers work closely with the process development team to evaluate and prepare procedures for scale-up, including optimization and all safety aspects, and are involved during the initial route selection providing insight into the scalability and robustness of each reaction step.
Our areas of expertise consist of process chemistry, analytical and EHS. Each reaction step is first scaled in our kilo-labs and all results incorporated into the technical package which details synthetic challenges and any recommended improvements to the process.
Our manufacturing plant has a total volume of 200,000L, with reaction vessels ranging from 50-5000L. Reactions can be undertaken from -78°C to 240°C, and pressure up to 50 bar. Our production blocks have been carefully designed to allow flexibility across multi-purpose reactor trains.
HSE & Quality
Developmental risk analysis is conducted on each process step before large-scale manufacturing is undertaken, to minimise HSE risks. Analytical chemical development is used to control quality, purity, and impurities.
